COVID-19 & the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services

The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services issued a new emergency rule that requires employers to provide their associates with a separation notice. Employers must provide a separation notice to any associate that leaves employment because of a termination, layoff, temporary layoff, furlough, etcetera. The state advises that employers may deliver the separation notice by mail, text, or email. This emergency rule will be effective from April 28, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
