COVID-19 & Massachusetts Unemployment Tax Filing & Payment Extension

The Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance has provided a 60-day extension for quarterly state unemployment tax filings and/or payments.

The Department announced that employers statewide directly affected by (COVID-19) may request up to a 60-day extension of time from the DUA to file their quarterly state unemployment tax reports and/or payments without penalty or interest.

In order to request this extension, employers must make a written request that must be received within 60 days from the original delinquent date of the payment or return.  More information is available on the DUAs website at:
